The Astronomy course will make use of the school’s powerful telescope and involves studying interactions between the earth, moon and sun.  We also study the Solar system as well as investigating the stars and the major constellations.  In addition, the course covers the galaxies and cosmology.  There is a coursework component based upon student astronomical observations.  A course that will appeal to students wishing to reach for the stars!

Please note that GCSE Astronomy will run as an extra option ONLY on an after school basis and will take place on one evening a week between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
