Sixth Form students at Rainham Mark Grammar School celebrate another year of excellent A Level results

RMGS would like to pay tribute to the hard work and dedication of our Year 13 students this academic year.  Across the school 64% of grades were graded at A* to B.

This cohort were the first to return to pre-pandemic grade boundaries.  This makes their achievements all the more remarkable, bearing in mind that this is the first external set of examinations they have sat since completing their Medway test in year 6.  Although all students have overcome adversity and succeeded in their own way, we recognise the particular achievements of the following students:

  • Oscar Horstrup achieved 4A* (Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, Physics)
  • Deepthi Venkataraman 4A* (English, History, Psychology, Extended Project)
  • Ayodotun Lanipekun achieved 3A* and an A (Chemistry, Computing, Maths, Further Maths)
  • Edith Pearson achieved 3A* and an A (Chemistry, Maths, Spanish, Further Maths)
  • Rahul Gowda achieved 3A* (Biology, Chemistry, Maths)
  • Shreya Vassa achieved 3A* (Biology, Chemistry, Maths)
  • Polly Clifton achieved 3A* in (Geography, Religious Studies, Sociology)
  • Rehan Mirza achieved 2A* and an A (Economics, Geography, Maths)
  • Olivia Arnold 2A* and an A (Biology, Maths, Chemistry)
  • Tom Austin 2A* and 2As (Film Studies, Extended Project, English, Music)

Mrs Emma Horstrup, Acting Headteacher said: “I would like to wish the Year 13 students all the best as they prepare for the next exciting chapter in their lives.  They have been remarkable students who will continue to be successful individuals as well as wonderful ambassadors wherever their journey takes them. I would also like to thank my staff for their commitment, hard work and determination to help students achieve these grades and of course, all parents and carers for their support.”
