Bowled over with success! Student success in Bowls National competition.

Joshua Rowe, a student at Rainham Mark Grammar School, has reached and won the National Under 17 Triples Competition in Bowls.

He has also reached the County Fours Semi-Finals, in the men’s age group, in Maidstone. This is a great achievement for someone who has only been playing bowls for two years. Joshua got into bowls with his father and grandfather who have both played for many years, but Joshua certainly brings down the average age at 14 years old. He says: “I really enjoy bowls as it helps me wind down after a busy day at school and get rid of the stresses of the day”. He is already representing Kent, Indoors and Outdoors, for the Under 25 Level at Nottingham next month. We wish him luck for his upcoming England Trials.
