  • Anti-Bullying week news

    Published 16/11/17

To show our support for Anti-Bullying week we have been doing lots around school. The Anti-Bullying Ambassadors have been giving assemblies to form groups,  as well as whole school assemblies on the topic of Bullying and how to tackle it.

An outside company visited on Tuesday, and the children participated in some Anti-Bullying workshops using VR headsets, which was fun and a very unique way to educate the young people on the different types of bullying and what they should do if they experience or see bullying themselves.

All week a 'design an Anti-Bullying wristband' competition has been running, there have been many fantastic entries, The winner will be announced next week!

‚ÄčOn Wednesday a Sky news reporter came into school to interview James, one of our Anti-Bullying ambassadors and myself about Prince William's new Royal Taskforce initiative which is aiming to educate children and adults about Cyber-bullying.

All lower school students were given a leaf on which they were asked to write their own Anti-Bullying message. These leaves will form part of a Kindness tree that will be displayed in the school hall for everyone read.

Friday 17th November is Blue Friday and all staff and students are invited to wear blue clothing for the day to mark the end of Anti-bullying week.
